Title: Evaporative Cooling Vest
Post by: TexasDave on July 05, 2018, 05:02:35 PM
Cycle Gear had Bilt's Evaporative Cooling Vest for $49 last week down from $59. I decided to give one a try. Yesterday was the first time I rode with it under a mesh jacket. It didn't do much below 40mph around town with the temp at 94. Above 40mph I started to feel some cooling and at 50mph it did a good job. At 70mph it felt great. Rode about 4hrs in the morning and it needed rehydrated. Wet it down and rode a couple more hours at highway speed and it cooled great. I don't think it would be useful to those riders up north but down here in Texas with the temps around 100 degrees I think it's worth it to me.

They are well worth the investment. They can make a 95 degree day bearable instead of miserable.
