For years I VERY happily used Johnson "Pledge Lemon with Cleansing Conditioners" liquid in a 'spritzer" bottle.....NOT an aerosol!
Johnson quite making/selling it several years ago, and they recently told me via phone chat that they do not make a close replacement.
This stuff was thin and watery, looking like milk. However, it protected the surface of the transparent bubble very well, shed & beaded rain well, and made wiping off dead & dried bug guts a one swipe affair. I also used it on OEM windshield and headlight cover. Very protective stuff!!
What are you folks using that's been working well long term? Please, no aerosols. I want a liquid in bottle........with or without the spritzer attachment.
Plexus gets good reviews, but really expensive, and I have not found it as a NON-AEROSOL.
Tnx, folks..........

I use a little spritzer bottle filled with water and a few drops of liquid dish soap.
I tried using Windex once in the bottle, but it doesn't cut through bug guts as well as water. It also evaporates too fast.
Multi step process for me.
Zaino Z-2 polish with Z-6 spray before I leave home.
Then when on the road....Z-6 for cleaning off bugs and grime.

I picked up a package of these on my road trip to Wisconsin last year. They are safe for plastics and a clean, scratch free. The pouch fits easily in your tank bag. No worries of needing a spritzer bottle, that may leak and dry clean towels. For convenience, I really like these and they work well.

The wipes that I use do not have ammonia. I also look on the package for a mention of can be used on plastics or safe for plastics. Recently I found some in the Wal-Mart auto section that is actually a Wal-Mart brand that worked very well.

I just bought a new pack of these at Wal-Mart. $1.88 and they work great.
