Hi ,I bought this Shock just for a spare to have in the shed,, ,It came off a 1992 FJ1200 ,,, Can any one out in FJ Land please advise if the Shock on a Standard 1992 FJ1200 came out with the Spring painted a "Bright Red" ,This Shock does not have any numbers or ID on it that I can see ,,I have added a few photos,, thanks for that ,,
Aside from the red spring, it looks like the stock shock
I thought the stock shocks had a single cable style adjuster at the top (that adjusted preload and damping at the same time)? This appears to have a preload adjuster at the top similar to progressive suspension shocks and a damper adjuster at the bottom? Or did the shocks for the late model FJ's change that much from the 89/90 models?
The shocks changes over the years
The Progressive Suspension springs were red.....that looks like one.

Big changes for the later shocks - are they rebuildable like the same era FZR1000 shocks? Are they better than the earlier style shocks?
