Great. So instead of sliding off the road on your ass, you can go shooting off the road while upright. There's still no traction for braking on a loose surface.

Brook,
Ummm . . . No. Assuming that it works perfectly, (and that is a lot to assume), the "airbag" cartridge alone will probably cost you US$300~$500 to replace. I'd expect that the entire system would cost a mint anyway, not so much for the physical gadgetry, but for the liability costs faced by the seller.
Nobody should be riding the public roads at speeds that would need this system, and problems like oil or gravel on the road would probably need a prolonged thrust to overcome, not just a short blast that would complicate whatever you may be doing on your own.
My $.02 worth . . .
Clickbait. :shout: Now how will I ever recover those 90s? :scratch_one-s_head: Go play video! Yeah that's it! :gamer:
More I think about this - the more it seems this could be a fairly good way to turn a fairly mild low side get-off into a collar bone crunching high side get-off instead ...

..... or launch you across the road into an oncoming vehicle.
To my thinking, even if it worked perfectly as intended, It can't arrest the lateral movement that comes with loss of traction while cornering or reduce speed so you'll still be heading off into the trees at speed, only upright. Small consolation.

I hate to have seen what it may have done for me with a broken front wheel!

No worries Pete, just have one in each fork tube.
