This is the back of my Garmin Zumo 660 after 220,000km. The pins have worn right through the brass contacts.

Does anyone have a dead 660 that don't want laying around? I only need if for the casing. Postage from the US is not a problem,
Thanks
Noel
Looks like you could drop a dab of solder on there for some extra miles?
Maybe This? No Applied Heat Required (https://www.mgchemicals.com/products/adhesives/electrically-conductive-adhesives/two-part-epoxy/silver-conductive-epoxy-8331)
Thanks guys, I had considered both options. The solder is a bit soft and the conductive glue I have is very thin. If I can't get a case I'll see if I can get thicker glue, if not I will solder them.
Thanks for the input.
Noel
Noel. what about punching out some copper or brass shim material with the appropriate sized wad punch and use the liquid solder to attach them to the worn areas.
Just a thought mate. See you soon. :drinks:

Good idea Pete, I have sheets of different thickness shim material. The small size and the thickness required might make it difficult to get a clean cut but I'll give it a try.
Thanks

You probably already know this Noel, but I'll suggest it anyway, use a smoothly cut hard timber (ironbark, yellow box grey gum etc) end grain as the cutting anvil.
Makes a big difference to the cut finish. Also razor sharp wad punches. I know you will already know how to do this but thought it might come as good advice to those who have not tried this method of using wad punches.
Regards, Pete. :good2:
