Title: Hideous rear fender replacement
Post by: aviationfred on October 11, 2017, 06:22:51 PM
:bad:  The FJ came with the hideously ugly extended European/Australian rear fender.

I had to do something about it. Solution....replace with a U.S. Spec rear fender half. Much better IMO.

Much better, however I think it's the European/Japanese bikes that have the long guard, the Australian models all had the "sporty" short guard. Whenever a Japanese import comes in it usually has the awful long guard, :)

Not often a Euro spec part looks worse than a US spec part.  Car or motorcycle.

Keep the original to play Jai Alai with. :sarcastic:

While in Europe those short fenders are hard to find, I did the same mod, but with a hacksaw and blade designed for steel. 15min incl. sanding and looks same as USspec
