Yahoo!! Manshed Day scheduled for Saturday 29th July (thats soon!). Will be a typical get together, fun, laughs, bikes, a snag or 2, cold drinks ( non alcoholic, bring your own booze if required), oh and maybe some spanners being turned.
Location will be the sprawling ranch at Park Ridge South of the esteemed Mr Glenn Sully, had a day there back in 2014.
Usual Manshed day things, some tools will be there, anything special needed bring it with you. I'll have my Fork seal driver and Carbtune for anyone to use. Start time will be early morn, finish up whenever you leave :) I think the strippers and firepit have been confirmed as non starters
27 Dalkeith Crt, Park Ridge South
Some pics from the last one--
Would there be some bedding avaliable at the X-Ray home for wayward bikers on the Friday night?
Mark
For long distance travellers I'm sure something can be arranged
Count me in Ray. :good2:
Oh this is in Queensland too .
**Bozo are you still in QLD and available that day? Would be great to catch up
Me too
Forgot to add. Is anybody from north of my joint heading down so we could meet up somewhere ?
So we don't get lost.
Great Ken! I know it's been a while since you came to the day at my place, Glenn's house is literally 5 mins down the road from me. (Before you get to me)
I am sorry that I can't make that one fellas ... Need new tyres a for Mapleton, oh, and I don't have any carby's either. lol
Oops, yes your carbies are still on my bench waiting on some TLC, will be ready for Mapleton though :) Can still turn up in the Colorado to enjoy the festivities :)
Seems like forever since I was able to attend any FJ event. With the short notice my old girl may not quite be back together by the 29th.
That said and if possible - I may ride on a "non FJ" machine just to catch up for a few hours.
We will see how things go closer to the time.
Rob
Do it Rob! You know you want to, plus it would be great to catch up
I'll be at LB's new house. Putting up a shed and building shelves that weekend.
Since it's just down the road I'm sure we will find some time to drop in and say hi. :greeting:

Hey Bender, good to hear from you! Should be a fun day if you can get there, great!. 19/20 August Andrew is the Leyburn Sprints weekend, trying to get out there for one day to see the activities. So at this stage I won't be able to do an overnighter, sounds like fun though.

I'll be there, somehow missed this post, do I get the longest distance travelled =20Kms. opps just checked 7kms :gamer:
Where are you staying John? Sounds close by, anyway will be good to catch up
Great day, Thankyou Glen, I managed to fit the indent to my gear selector, Baldy doesn't know it yet but I drop a 12" shifter into his gearbox while helping him do the clutch but don't worry the 36mm socket will prevent the gears from jamming. Brilliant day, I'd put some photos up but my photobucket has turned to crap.
Hi All
Firstly, great day Glenn. You were a wonderful host.
I made the 4 hour journey (each way) to attend, and so glad I did. It was great to catch up with the northern FJ members and lots got done.
We
1) Intsalled a detent kit
2) Fitted a new clutch pack in an FJR
3) Re welded the blinker brackets on my bike and a quick carb balance
4) fitted new wheel bearings
5) Brake line flush
6) miss fire sorted and carb balance
There was more....
Here is a vid I did to record the momentous occasion

Pictures are nice, but the video of that camera man bailing off of the platform in the race car wreck, is a hoot.

Would have like a video of detent kit install, I should have asked before the weekend.
Liked your video Mark, always good to see the open road.
What camera are you running and where is it mounted?
Bozo, nice photos too especially a colour picture of detent kit.
Hi Sparky
Sorry i didn't get vid of the detent install. The camera i use is the - Sony HDRAS100VR Action Camera
Not a bad little unit, and i like its slim design. I have it mounted on the left side of the fairing just below the screen.
I made a solid metal bracket for it at the plastic Go Pro style brackets transmit too much in the way of vibrations.

Alan, bring it down to Bermagui with you in December. I've done a couple already, happy to guide you through it. It may cost you a beer or two though.
:drinks: Pete.

Mate Thanks, but That is Such a Long time away..
I know I've been a patient lately but that doesn't mean I have patience. But you never do know , as long as I've got other things to do it might still be there for me to assist you and Yes beers AFTERWARDS. :drinks:
That's if I'm still here.
I think it was my Z1300 that a mate told me to wait 2 weeks until he was back from NZ and we'd pull it apart and fix it, well when he got back it was it bits ready for him to assist. He was a mechanic and I was still just a Sparky but that old waiting game isn't for me.
Cheers Alan
Hey Alan
Are you on Facebook? I posted up a quick how to on the Mens shed day thread for the FJ1100/1200 Australia page , with photos, for Neil Peach (Pea Che) that my assist you with the install. When I get home from work I could try and put in on here. There may already be something similar in this forum somewhere (we could find it on the weekend though).
Mark
No Facebook Mark, I would like to keep the past in the past.
That's ok, and yes I did see something but some pictures weren't available as they were posted with Photobucket.
I just like to make sure of everything before I pull things apart.
Cheers Alan
I will post a quick how too as soon as I get my photos sorted ( not photo bucket)
