anyone have one? where can i get one?
i went to the dealer and all they had was a crappy black and white one....
looking for a complete wiring diagram for my bike to trouble shoot some bugs.
I have a large 40cm x 55cm (15 3/4" x 21 3/4") full color wiring diagram for the '89/'90 US FJ1200 that is available. You can see in the photo that it nearly covers a couch cushion and the glove is for size reference.

Does anyone know the differences between a 88 and this model?
I believe I have a 1200s
This is what I am looking for. Where can I get one like that. ?
Are you willing to part with that one?

The 1988-1990 models are basically the same. The 1988 model was sold in Canada, the UK, Europe and Australia. The UK 1988-1990 model has a few differences in wiring than what is on my large diagram. Mainly the differences are.
Front turn signals...The US model has 3 wires for on all the time running lights. UK model has 2 wires, only for signaling
Fuel pump relay... The wiring is a bit different, not sure why
Parking light... The US model does not have one, so it is not shown on my large diagram
Passing switch... The US model does not have one, so it is not shown on my large diagram

If you are sure that you have a 1200S, than you have a 1TX model and My '89 is a 3CV model. There are major differences in the wiring between the 1TX and 3CV.
Here is a 1200S wiring diagram for sale on eBay that is a 4 page fold out and very easy to read. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Wiring-Diagram-FJ1200S-FJ1200SC-/190726941507?hash=item2c68362b43:m:m3arFR42vXnp5yD6R7fWZlw&vxp=mtr (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Wiring-Diagram-FJ1200S-FJ1200SC-/190726941507?hash=item2c68362b43:m:m3arFR42vXnp5yD6R7fWZlw&vxp=mtr)
The photos are of a 1988/1989 3CV. the second photo is a shot of My 1989 3CV and a 1986/1987 1TX. notice the difference in the front turn signals, the fairing extending below the air scoop on the 3CV. The biggest key is..... does yours have a 16" front wheel with Anti-Dive forks??? if yours does than it is a 1TX.

Probably has something to do with the Reserve function. :dash1:
Hi guys...
so i am making my way thru the wiring mess.... when i have time that is...
i have traced the problem to a completely missing relay .
the wiring diagram just says relay assembly??? can anyone tell me the part number of this relay? any markings on it at all??? the PO had just jumped a bunch of pins to make it work..
thanks.
Scott
why cant i post an image?????
Thanks for posting the pics!!!
This is the relay that you need. http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/yamaha/YP-2UJ-81950-00-00.html (http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/yamaha/YP-2UJ-81950-00-00.html)
Here is a used one on eBay. The FJ1200 does not show as a compatible vehicle on their list. But cross reference to Partzilla and the Part Numbers mach. Plus the 2UJ-81950-00 is the same P/N as the main relays on both my '89 and '90.
