Title: Mighty -Vac
Post by: Yamahahammer1300 on June 03, 2017, 03:54:03 PM
I replaced the clutch slave.  A big shout out to Randy.  I ordered on the Friday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend, and He got the part to the East Coast by Tuesday.  We are lucky to have the RPM crew.
I picked up a Mighty-Vac bleeder at Harbor Freight, and it shot brake fluid out of every orifice like Linda Blair in the Exorcist.  Exchanged it.  The second one couldn't hold a vacuum.  WTF?  I have used this product before with no issues.
I did break my Harbor Freight rule:  never buy anything there that has moving parts.
It sucks when you ignore your gut.
Lesson:  Life is too short to be a cheap bastard. :flag_of_truce:

Just a dumb question.....do you have the plastic container to catch the brake fluid in the line between the bleeder screw and the vacuum pump? I usually set the catch container inside a coffee can to keep it upright while I am using the Mity Vac.

I spent a little bit more and got my vacuum bleeder from Cycle Gear. It works like a charm.

I consider everything I buy at Harbor Freight to be an unfinished kit.
