Hi fellas, my name is Leon and have been a huge fan of the FJs since the first time I ever saw one.
Now, as of yesterday, I have finally bought one after a long 17 year wait.
It's a 1991 with 30K mi and like any older bike needs a few little things fixed.
I have been a rider since 1980 and have starting with a Honda dirt bike, then bought a new 1982 750 Virago in the fall of 1981, sold it and took a 3 year break from riding, then bought a still new, 1982 GS1100L Suzuki in the summer of 1985, wrecked it in the fall of 1987, rebuilt it in the spring of 1988, and still own it to this day and have 22000 miles on it.
And then the crown to my collection is my dads all original 1960 Triumph Bonneville 650, he bought new in 1959. He has transfered ownership to me as sort of a family aireloom and it is a really cool old bike to take out and make some noise with.
I hope to be a good member to the site and I know I will be looking to you all for more insite to the ways of he FJ!
until next time...

Welcom Leon!
That's very impressive to be the steward of the family jewel! I'm in the same boat FJ wise as you, long time watcher, first time owner of a '91. What a machine!!
Great bunch here, these folks can help with most anything.

welcome to the group Leon,
you have a good collection going there. 30k on a fj is nothing, It's just getting broke in.
Welcome. I had a 83 GS1100l stolen in 1990. Watched the cops draw on the mexican theives who stole it. As a Nebraska native, I always wondered if there was alot of lead in the water in Iowa and Missouri.
Thanks guys for such a nice welcome.
I love to learn about the FJ and my mind is like a spunge.
I've been doing alot of looking around and reading old posts.
See you around...
welcome to the group, and congrats on the FJ. I am also a new owner of a 1989 as of Dec last year and this site has a great bunch of folks who can help you out with just about anything.
