The new shoes and bearings are installed. Shinko 016 Verge 2X tires. After a few years of running Continental Conti-Motions, I will see how well these work over the summer riding season. I usually get about 6000 miles out of a Conti rear.
I also got a new helmet. Bell Qualifier DLX with a permanently attached Sena 10 communicator.

Too funny. I just put the same tires on my 93 FJ1200. Great minds think alike, eh? Haven't had a chance to try them yet, the damn brake system is not cooperating. :dash2:
Also installed new chain and sprockets... 18/40 which is not as big a jump as you might think. Note to anyone installing 180/55-17 tires: they are about 1/2" shorter in diameter than the stock 150/80-16, so just to get back to stock gearing, you need to lose a tooth on the rear sprocket. Because this will primarily be my long-distance bike, I went a bit further with the 18/40 combo.

The unit that came with the helmet is a SMH10. I used it during the Colorado Rally and it worked great. I purchased a Sena 10S a week ago so that I could talk to my kids when the ride pillion. Everything worked great.
Sadly the new helmet with the Sena 10S were stolen when the bike was :ireful:

Fred,
I have a couple spare Sena SMH10 comms that my wife and daughter were using. Let me know if you are interested in one of them.
