On a lighter note,
I think I found a suitable replacement rivet for the FJ1100 air scoops. I've had a reserve of the stock rivets that I finally burned through over the years.
Local dealer wants $8 a pop and of course he will have to order them. Boats.net is a little better at $4.40 each. But that still seems high for a simple plastic rivet.
None of the generic rivets I've tried have worked, either too small or too large.
So, time to try McMaster Carr.
Part number 91010A209 is a Reusable Push-In Blind Rivet with Keyhole Shank. Snaps into the scoop hole with a satisfying click and takes a pretty good tug to pop it back out.
Best part; 100 of them for $9.26!

I used 4 of those click-lock shank ones with a fender extender kit I bought. I have to say they worked pretty slick.
Can you put a link?
I have a problem on one side on my bike where someone put some stupid screw type rivet which I can't get out now.
For some reason it won't link to the exact page.
Using the link below, select Rivets and Rivet Tools, then select Rivets again, then select Push-In.

Cool info. I didn't check the shipping costs to Croatia, but the prices are great.
