Title: Exhaust collector 1985
Post by: balky1 on May 02, 2017, 11:33:06 AM
Hi!

I am looking for exhaust collector box for 1985, part number 36Y-14615-00-00. Do you have any without holes? :-)
I suppose shipping to Croatia from USA could be a PIA....

Thank you for your time!

You may want to check with the U.K. or EU folks.
They do have a nice aftermarket stainless steel collector box on the market.
Avoid the disappointment of a used steel box.

Take a look on eBay Germany and/or eBay UK. There are new Black Widow collectors that show up regularly. Very low flow restriction and allows for retention of the dual exhaust. An added bonus is that it weighs considerably less than the OEM collector.

Thanks!

I am already exploring those roads. There are a lot of FJ parts in Germany, for example, so I will probably find what I am looking for without much problem.

I went with a Delkevic when mine had cracked beyond repair, they look the same as original but lightweight,
as Fred mentioned Black Widow is another very sporty one and they did look very free flowing, (still don't know whether I you the right one)

When looking for one I think the Black Widow was being shipped from UK, don't know if that'll help you with freight costs

Cheers Alan

I have three available in Canada.  They are used - no holes - a bit of surface rust.  http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=16077.msg161957#msg161957 (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=16077.msg161957#msg161957)

Photobucket kinda squished some photos, but they are perfectly useable.  If interested PM me and maybe I can make you an off you can't refuse.  :good:
