Title: Online Tire supplier (Canadian)?
Post by: gumby302ho on April 30, 2017, 01:50:09 PM
Just wondering where the Ontario FJ'rs order there tires from, are there any Canadian stores that have good service and deal in Canadian dollars, prefer online ordering, just had a major flat and need a tire pronto before the black flies hit full on. Did I mention my luck sucks, I am glad I got my XR repaired and was able to go out and risk my neck in the slop with him. I am FJ pumped to get on Franken J!

Try Royal distributing. Their not to bad. I also bought tires from bay city cycles in Vancouver, only place I could get some Avon Azaro tires in 16s Big R

I've bought my last few sets online from Pete' Superbike (https://www.petes-superbike.com/tires-c-2234_1.html).  Good prices and quick delivery.  I have stock 16" rear so they have different brands that can accommodate. Most recent set are Avon Storm 3D radials. I have also previously bought Metzler Lasertech bias plies.

I'll second Pete's Superbike. The turn around delivery is soo perb. Price is about the best consistently year to year.

- However, if you do have a local bike shop you do business with that has a garage section, give them a chance to match it. That's worked for me and the shop was more than happy with the deal and so was I, factoring in total costs comparison; courier delivery vs pick up time and mileage, mounting, balancing, taxes.

P.S. This is where mentioning your location would help so maybe you could be referred to a good shop.

I see they ship fedex.

Did you get dinged with brokerage fees?

Edit: Ah crap, nevermind. I just noticed their address says Quebec.....

Fortnine

+1 for Fortnine.  This is an excellent company!  Fair prices and free shipping when you order $49 or more.  I have ordered 3 sets of tires and have always received "fresh", non-dated tires.

I would like to shout out a big thank you to Charlie and Paul for informing me about Pete's Superbike, they were bang on the money, Pete's delivered in a timely manner and I got what I ordered right to my door via fedex. For the Canadian(Ontario) FJ folks who need tires and the like, they get two thumbs up from me! Cheers
