Title: Coming to America
Post by: roverfj1200 on April 08, 2017, 04:31:35 PM
The time has come for Julie and myself to find the time to make a visit to the US of A and as such, as we are FJers, to attend one of your 2018 FJ Rallies.
Planning is in its infancy and dates not set as we will need to know when the rallies are but as said we are coming to America.

We hope to spend around 4 weeks exploring your southern states or more.

So take warning WE are coming.. :wacko1:

Richard and Julie.

You are most welcome. We hope you can get to Calif on your trip. Bring your riding gear, we will find a FJ for you to ride. The 2018 WCR has always been held the weekend following Memorial Day so it's tentively set for the first weekend in June, location yet to be determined.

Many FJ forum members in the US will welcome you and Julie with open arms.

I am going to attend the East Coast Spring Rally in Boone, NC in May, and the Central Rally in Marble Falls, AR. August of 2018 I have a spare FJ1200 that can be brought along for you and Julie to ride on.

The Boone North Carolina rally is always the week leading up to and including the third weekend of May.  The Fall rally is the same but in the month of September...location for the fall rally has changed somewhat but is centered in the area of the "Dragon".  With a little notice extra bikes are usually available.  Always put the welcome mat out for the folks down under....come to think of it, what are we?  Up over?  :unknown:

Don't forget to tell the US FJ brothers about our dangerous dropbears

Thanks for the offers and such. Not sure yet of our itinerary but most likely fly into San Francisco and have a look around the south west corner. I'm not one to plan every detail so will most likely just plan on the run. Looking forward to meeting and putting faces to forum members.
