Title: Honda clutch M/C conversion: Do you need a new clutch line?
Post by: camo on April 03, 2017, 11:12:29 PM
Hey all,

i had a look thru the forum and couldnt find anything definitive so though I would check. Im in the process of converting my M/C over from Yam to the Honda VFR ones. I note the honda banjo bolts are orientated 90deg. differently than the yamaha ones and to hook up the Yam clutch lines means a fair bit of strain on the lines. Have people who have done this conversion needed to purchase a custom made clutch line? I figure as the current line is 25yo its worth replacing..

Thanks in advance.

I have VFR MC on mine and they work great.  Lines have been replaced.

Here is the link to my Honda VFR clutch master cylinder install

I would highly recommend the FJ1200 Spiegler clutch line. I use it with my Honda VFR800 clutch master cylinder and it works great. The banjo fitting ends can be rotated to account for the difference in the connecting point.
