Title: aftermarket mirrors?
Post by: oakleygav on March 26, 2017, 03:01:03 AM
Have originals fitted which constantly move at any sort of speed. Sure some of you have had similar issue so hoping you can point me in direction of where I can find a decent replacement? Cheers...Gav

I'm sure we could help if you could tell us what year FJ you have.

Gav,
The "fix" may be as simple as folding back the rubber coverings and tightening up the allen bolts (if you have an '86 or later).  These bolts will often break loose, allowing them to move freely.

If you have a 91 and up, mirrors for a Honda CBR1000RR 2004-2007 will fit nicely. You have to do a little altering of the bolt holes on the mirrors, as the center to center doesn't match the FJ perfectly, but the result is a much better view of what is behind you too.

If you have an 89/90 then 86/87 mirrors work/look great.
And are still available. I purchased a new pair a few years ago.
