Title: ISO a 1990 Right side mirror. In in South Carolina
Post by: vegetta58 on November 14, 2016, 03:50:30 PM
Just bought a 1990 and was putting the cover over it and it just broke off. Must have already been cracked. Does anyone know where to get one? Thanks Mickey

I use CBR aftermarket mirrors on the OEM bases and get a bit less elbow. If you really need the OEM look then expect to pay for out of stock prices.

Is their a mod thread for the cbr mirrors or do they just plug and play and any particular brand y'all use. Thanks

Look for 2005 CBR mirrors. the OEM products have better reviews.

Just looked at partzilla. They are still available both sides. Expensive though $107.01 apiece.

86/87 mirrors look great on 89/90 Fjs. And are wide enough to see fine.

Here is the write up for the CBR250 mirror install on the '89/'90 models.

Get the Honda mirrors instead of searching forever for a right side moose horn.

Ok, from what I gather y'all are saying the CBR 600 mirrors will bolt on to existing Yamaha FJ mounts with no mod's. That right?

They will need a touch of grinding from my effort. Not much, you will see when you fit them... The pic is inverted 180 degrees but you can see where some grinding needs done...

Or you could just buy the 86/87 mirrors. And bolt them on. Like I said kinda expensive.
