Some time ago, there was a thread about extending the side stand on our FJ's. I believe there was someone on the forum who has made a few for purchase? Can someone point me in the direction?
Thanks,
Dean
Is this the one http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=14555.0 (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=14555.0)
I gave mine the boot... Works a little better on softer surfaces as well...

Other than the mucking around to make an R6 stand work, it is still a fixed length, just longer and whether that length is correct depends entirely on how much you've changed the height of your bike and 2" is a lot. The last thing you need is it sitting too vertical.
Mark and I appear to have done the same thing, drill and tap two holes and screw a plate to the bottom, very easy requiring no purchases and basic tools.
The thickness I calculated I would need turned out to be too high, as did the next one. This one is perfect and can be changed if needed.

I did find over time the screws would come loose, even with loctite, so I shortened them, counter sunk the top and put a dob of weld there. A couple of wallops with a centre punch would have done the same thing. I left the plate unpainted to minimize the bulky appearance.

A quick coat of polyurethane paint that won't chip and it looks like it came with the bike. I could have ground the welds off smooth but it doesn't worry me.
