Title: Shortened Rear
Post by: Karkarov on November 06, 2016, 05:00:03 PM
Good Evening ! :drinks:

In the past weeks during the restauration of my FJ 1100 `84  i thought about a shorter end.
But the problem is that i don“t want to make the seat shorter. ( There is a picture with 2 colored lines :mail1:. The Space in between should be cut out )

Are there any other People with a shortened rear and could send me some Fotos ?
Maybe with some Pics where the cuts were made !

I would also be happy about ever other Pic about the change of a end :)

Greetings from Austria  :good2:

Welcome Karkarov, you should get a few good replies on changing/shortening the sub frame. It has been done, plenty of build posts, try the search function as well.

Dan, the seat seems to be missing a feature towards the front. A spherical pocket is required to make room for anyone with the equipment to ride that beast...

Yah I just wish I had more time. I haven't had a chance to work on anything fun lately. I wonder if it will scare me. So far I have never found anything too powerful. If it doesn't. I can throw the 1450 cylinder block on it... kookaloo

Hey Dan....Why did you put the turbo under the seat?
Why not hung low in front where there's good air flow?
Are you worried that those pipes are gonna get a wee bit toasty on your left leg?

Pat The turbo was built by R&B racing in California. They have built a lot of land speed record holders. But now they build 300hp turbo baggers. Cause that's where the money is. I've ceramic coated the entire system. and it has heat shields, which I ceramic coated also. It's already setup/ jetted for pump gas on a stock motor for 200hp.
I already have a 2008 gsxr1000 front end For it.

I had them make the seat padding As low as possible. To keep my center alittle lower and kinda lock me in. It has a gell padding with some foam over it. It's actually quite comfortable.

The place that did the seat upholstery for me is called Kno Place upholstery. They specialize in bike seats with gell padding. Great to work with. I found them because they sell just the gell padding on fleabay.

that is an amazing build.  How come your not out on your riding mower cutting the lawn, like every other guy in Wisconsin?

Turbo bike build.  Dang.
