I'm not sure that is correct. I have a FZR 600 front wheel sitting in my shop that is right at 1/4" narrower across the rotors and the bearings than a FJ 1200 wheel. It was supposed to be a FZR 750 wheel but the eBay seller was not correct about that.
I used 1 mm thrust washer on each caliper mount bolt between the fork tube and the caliper. The washers centered the disc in the calipers. I used the 15 mm axle and inner spacer which is shorter than the 17 mm spacer. I either used one or two (I think 1) 1 mm thrust washers to make up the difference. The inside diameter of the wheel won't allow the thrust washer to move too far out of place. I turned the right side 15 mm axle spacer backwards to fit the axle seal. I used the EBAY 17 mm X 12 mm bearings which so far are OK. 15X40X12 would be the proper bearing size. I was unable to find any name brand bearings in 6203LHA size. These were from EMS Global Direct, alternator bearings for an old Mercedes truck alternator.
87-88 FZR1000 front wheels are a direct fit :good:
It is true that 87/88 FZR 1000 and YZF 750 wheels are a direct bolt on. But how many of them are on eBay as compared to YZF600 wheels at any particular time? I know what I will be doing with the YZF600 front wheel sitting in my shop now. ct7088, thank you for sharing your work on the swap.

I mistakenly bought an '89 FZR wheel, and simply drilled out the fork to accommodate the larger FZR axle. Never looked back.

I do like that the FZR wheel is 3.5" wide. It spreads the 120 nicely.

You are exactly right. :flag_of_truce:.... I do know that the wheel that I have has 15 mm bearings. That may be all that I know right now. :sarcastic:
Ok, I thought it had 15 mm bearings. Nope, 17 mm. Guess it's time to head back to eBay and look for a 17 mm axle and speedo drive.
