Title: Oil pump drive gear
Post by: JimboOZ on August 22, 2016, 02:24:35 AM
There is no play (wear) on the splines but it moves freely back and forth on the length of the shaft.
There is just the circlip on the front and a thrust washer behind.
Normal ?

There is play on the oil pump side to compensate for expansion as the other gear is bearing mounted.

The snap ring groove is where the wear is the most prevalent.
