Hello, my name is Harald,I live close to London,Ontario.Just bought a 84 FJ1100 with 39000 KM on it,bike is in very good condition, has 4 into 2 Kerker exhaust system on it, otherwise stock, except for a blue and silver repaint at some point.
Always had Honda's before, currently building a 81 CB900 Supersport, but thought I give this bike a try. Planning on a quick street fighter build with it, thats why I decided on the FJ. Inline 4, aircooled-no radiator and hose to clutter stuff up,
5 speed 9dont really care for the newer bikes with 6 speeds, and fair bit of horsepower for an old bike.
Only problem sofar I noticed is not as much power in the midrange as it should have.Do not know if bike was rejetted with the exhaust or if carbs just need some cleaning ,will look into that after I get safety done on tuesday.
Will have some questions about stuff, but will try search first, although the search function on any forum I have been on is totally useless, more chances to find stuff on google .
Welcome Harald, you will find a lot of help here and on Google. In fact, most of what you find on Google will lead you back here. With so many members, FJ wisdom and knowledge posted here it will be hard to not find what you need. Finding other members near by is also great way to help get things sorted out and then you have other FJs to ride with. Look here. https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=724879#. (https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=724879#.) Mid range is a common issue with after market pipes and jets. But it can set properly and give you what we call Kookaloo at all throttle positions. We like to see build projects so post up current pics and then more as you progress. A good place for parts will be RPM, see the banner at the top? Randy is an FJ owner, engine builder, racer and developer of custom FJ upgrades. He and his son Robert are very helpful. Feel free to post pics of your other projects, many here own more than just FJs.
Wow! An 84 with 24000+ miles? Sounds like a really nice find. Post some pictures when you get a chance.
I will ad some pics soon.
Looks like the old FJ will have to be my daily rider for a bit, was picking up parts for it with my 88 GMC truck and the clip came of the reverse plunger pin in the old Muncie. No gears other then low and first. Will be a bit of work getting to it for a two minute repair. So bike build will be delayed till thats fixed.
There's quite a few of us in Ontario,I'm on my 3rd FJ now with a 92,keep your eyes peeled on forum we usually hook up for rides time to time!
There are a few very nice active members near you. They will be a great resource. Welcome from the Niagara region.
Welcome to the forum :hi:
Don't be shy about asking questions. Many members are original owners and there are plenty of other members that are very knowledgeable with all things FJ.
A good educational source is browsing the 'Files' section.

nice bike brother! Welcome to the FJ world!
=)
Very cool, welcome Harald!
I find your blue/white color combination and stripe detailing to be very attractive. :good2:
I would have gone with a custom FJ1100 graphic on your side covers....although I'm not sure what I would choose, but it would not be red and white.
Very nice find Harald! Kudos.
