I think my fuel shut off valve has failed, has anyone had this happen, my oil has really thined out plus the level has risin, anyone had this issue.
Happens when 2 things occur, 1) the petcock fails to close, and 2) your float needles leak fuel (typically the o rings on the needle seat).
Rebuild your pectcock or buy a new one (hint: the 84/85 petcocks are cheaper, but you lose that goofy reserve switch)
Last I checked RPM has them is stock.
You may find your float needle seat o rings need attention or you have debris between the needle and seat, or both.
