Title: Brake M/C rebuild kit for 93 FJ1200
Post by: wirehairs on April 27, 2016, 09:08:24 AM
So K&L does not offer a rebuild kit for the 93 FJ1200 ABS front brake master cylinder.  I called them to verify.  So.. does All Balls make one?  I see that RPM sells one that covers 1984-1993 models, so I interpret that to mean that other rebuilt kits would similarly cover that span as well.  Input?

If the RPM kit covers all years then the brake master did not change internally and all use the same parts. So other kits will likely work if they are for the FJ master. Like the fork seals other kits my not have the same quality and may not last as long. So look for quality parts like RPM.

Maybe I am missing something, RPM has what you need but you are still looking elsewhere?

I like to know all my options, and buy locally when possible.

I can understand that. I buy my oil and filters at my local Napa auto parts but I buy all of my fj specific parts from RPM
