Have you checked the mounting tabs, I recently re-welded my RH tab. I took the lens off and a piece fell to the garage floor. Crap! :dash2: I just had the fairing off.
Here is the piece with the U-nut for the screw to secure the lens.

This tab is too thin and will likely brake again, or just melt away if I try to weld it back on.

So I grind the ribs down to allow a flat piece to tie in the inside of the fairing to the ribs with some homemade ABS putty. I gouge out the gap (old soldering iron) to allow a weld bead to secure the piece.

Then weld it to the fairing and signal tab.

A little more sanding to clean up and Weld on the mounting tab.

A little more clean up and match drill the hole to complete the job. Stronger than new.

The 1988-1990 front signal lenses are very difficult to find. Have a look here at Poway motorcycles. I have purchased from them on a number of occasions. The owner was a long time FJ owner and carries a large stock of used FJ parts.

In box #18 there are a set of signal lenses. It may be worth a call to verify if these are for the '88-'90 models. My bet is that these are for the '91-'93 models.

I have a clear set available for the 1988-1990 3CV models. These will not fit the 1TX or 3XW models.
Here is a photo of the lenses installed.
