Hi to all,
greetings from Croatia, Europe.
I own a 2001. Yamaha XJR 1300 (1250) naked bike.
I'm here to discuss about engine tuning, and camshaft choices :)
Welcome you lucky devil owning an XJR :).. I will leave the cam shaft issue alone due to lack of knowledge but I am sure Randy at RPM will have your answer or options. :drinks:

I will be in Croatia from July 26th for 2 weeks with my family in the car javascript:void(0);
If you would like to do a house and FJR swap (I have a 2002 FJR 1300 ), please get in touch. We live in the heart of England in a large detached house.
Cheers, Ivan
This starts to sound like some rally is reving up in CRO? I live in Rovinj.

Hi to all,
I'm here to discuss about engine tuning, and camshaft choices :)
I've removed far more modified cams than I've ever installed (for road use)
It's a rare thing to get a cam that improves an engine for general road use because that's what they were designed for in the first place
If you decide to do this, do a
lot of research.
When someone decides they want a cam, they will believe anything they're told, because they
want to believe. It's rare though that they deliver as promised.
I would reluctant to muck around with cams in the FJ for road riding and is it worth the risk for the possible marginal gains?
What do you want your bike to do that it doesn't do now?
Noel
What tuning have you done to the engine already? I see the exhaust - any changes to the carburetors, intakes, or airbox? I am assuming this is not a fuel injected model.
