Just don't look into the light, it might be HID and burn your eyes out.

Is there rubber mount kit for the old ones? Pretty sure there isn't, just making sure I did not miss something.

Randy has attempted this and currently has not found a mount material that will survive. I am not sure if he is still working on alternatives, the material seems to get eaten by the 1200 power plant. I am guessing the closer he gets to metal, the more durable the mount.....

They didn't just change the mounts for the later versions.  They changed the entire frame.

The earlier versions use the engine as a stressed member.  The later versions use larger frame members.  I don't think most of the bodywork, interchanges, because all the mounts are in different places.

The English FJ Club has a guide on how to fit rubber mounts on the 84-90 FJ's.

The guide is attached to this post. Have not tried it, so don't know how well it works.
