Title: Brake calipers,front and rear.

Can anyone advise me,does the calipers from the fjr1300 fit 86 fj1200s.thanks :dash1:

No. Fit 89 or later forks or at least the lower fork legs and then they will. Early blue spot or silver spot calipers, not sure about the later models.

Can u advise what after market calipers will fit my bike.rebuilding them isn't my bag,

no direct aftermarket - other years etc like the blue dots mentioned that will fit directly that I know else I think a lot of us would have them -- like the previous post mentioned - you must change forks --- as a bonus you get a 17in wheel if you do change to 89 or greater which means more tire choices available.

there was a post that had an adapter plate for the 86 to upgrade the calipers -- you might search for that but I don't think it wise to use as it look MM  IMO.   I think it was an ebay listing anyways and probably not available

You might be able to order a set from the UK FJ Owners club.  However, you may find that it is cheaper to have a service shop rebuild your brakes than ordering new calipers.
