I found this site while researching a carb problem. What a great resource! My name is Kerry. I own 3 FJ1200's; '89,'87, '86. The '87 is basically a parts bike at this point. The others are drivers. Also own a CBX, a couple of Bridgestones, a 750 seca, etc. Appreciate being part of the community.
Welcome Kerry. In my opinion this is the best FJ site. Not so sure of the inmates here though. Dave
Welcome Kerry, I also own an '86 (down for rebuild) and an '89, can't have too many if you have the room. Enjoy our digital campfire during the cold season and attend a rally near you when you can. It changes your perspective when you meet other like minded FJowners and spend time with them. It changed me, I have not missed a rally since my first in 2011. I think many of us are inmates for a long time, not looking for a way out, we like it here...
Welcome Kerry ! If you ever get a chance check out a rally :).
George

Welcome Kerry!
Did you get your carb problem sorted?
So, a CBX eh? Tell me all about it. I think they are the finest sounding motorcycles ever made. The Porsche like howl out of that Honda inline 6 is intoxicatingly sublime.
Oh yea, our FJ's sound good too....
Cheers

Hi Pat, thanks for the welcome. Still working on the problem. It parallels another members problem, and I noticed some post info about the choke plungers possibly being old and not seating that made sense, so I'm chasing it down. All my FJ's are originally from the Stockton area, having belonged to a friend of mine until recently, when I brought them here to Idaho. The CBX is a '79, recent acquisition, but I have owned them before. It's a very nice piece, but I need to replace mufflers, as the former owner swapped some Hyabusa cans on to it, and they look like crap. You are right about the sound though. My previous '80 had a Kerker 6-1, and it always got attention. I'll try to update my personal info tonight. I'm also a Salt Flat guy, partnered in a current BMMP build we're trying to get ready for shake down in August. Again, thanks for the welcome nod.
Welcome aboard.
Thanks FJJ. Looks like a fun group.

Awesome. We'll hook up when it's warm for a little ride. I'll stay in touch.

Thanks Fred; Got it done. I was born not far from you, and get through there a couple of times a year. My cousins still live there. I'll ping you sometime this summer.
I know Caldwell Id. Been there several times visiting kin folk (attempt at farm talk). My folks lived in Caldwell for a spell. My cousin Gary has camel that makes many of the local parades. Single humper. I'll be out there in July for my sons wedding in Boise. If I manage to pack the FJ and can work it out, maybe you George and I can make a run. :drinks:
