No real filter, just a screen in side the tank as part of the petcock.

Yep I couldn't get much more than 2 gallons out before it would run out at 65-70mph. Pull off the road and restart. Back on the highway about a mile later back on the side of the road. Kept it full every 2 gallon. All the way to my first ECFR. Everybody there kept telling me to remove the filter.I didn't believe them. But finally took it off. Could empty the tank. Guess I should have listened to the ones with experience right away.
Couldn't get it to start (same rally). Thought I flooded it. (Cause I could smell a little bit of gas). Everyone kept telling me that my choke wasn't working. I didn't believe them. Then someone got the tools and took my tank off. Sure enough the set screw on the choke rod was loose tightened it up. Pulled the choke. Started right up.
These guys are great.
