Title: FZS600 Tail light Mod
Post by: aviationfred on November 17, 2015, 11:02:36 AM
Over the 3 1/2 years that I have been here on the forum, I have seen many replacement parts for our FJ's become exceedingly more difficult to find.

I have recently been advised that the 1998-2003 FZS600 Fazer tail light is a close replacement. I can not personally verify this

The lights look very similar to the LED tail lights that RPM offered before the current integrated version was released.

Here is a sample of a FZS600  tail light with Clear LED w/integrated signals

Yes, the Fazer light has the same mounting bolt pattern, but the rest if different. It does not offer the top support tab and the tail section must be modified to allow it to fit. These two things combined allow the light to fall down.

The first RPM taillights were based off of the Fazer with the modification of the integrated signals, but after many mounting issues, I had the light made in the proper FJ housing & lens.

For the proper parts for your FJ, RPM is the place to go.
