Retired Nov 13, started going out and having fun, instead of being stuck on the job all day (night, actually), bought a 14 FZ-09 and have been playing with her. Also, bought a toyhauler and been to a few desert races.
Being off, I no longer emulate the May tag repairman, and don't spend much time surfing the net..... I've peaked in a couple times, but haven't stuck around much.
I'll be around more, the vacation phase is almost over...
Congats on the retirement ! Soon you will wonder how you ever had time for work, stuff fills in fast :). Nice move on the FJ 09. If I were younger I would consider buying one.

Congrats Rich!
The first thing I did when I retired was to sell all my wrist watches. I'll never need to wear them again.
I did notice that I became confused as to what day of the week it was.....
.....'cause every day seemed like Saturday or Sunday!
You guys suck! (http://:biggrin:)
everyday is Saturday or Sunday ........arrrrrrggggg
My time is coming soon I hope ----- congrats to all that can
Patience grasshopper...
Double up on your retirement account, especially if it's matched by your employer.
Make it hurt. No pain no gain.
You will soon discover the magically wonderful phenomenon of compounded interest.

+1 Pat. Most days are just that, days. It is a pain in the ass if I have an appointment because I don't keep up with the program to well. If the wife go's to church it might be Sunday... When possable I do all my shopping etc. when the parking lots are empty. Home Depot is pretty good after sunrise on a week day :). The wife asks me "when did you get up?" I usually respond "when the sun was shinning, what time was that ?"
