Got the carbs put back on and ran a little fuel to them. Hit the starter and she started right up. Now this is a new to me 86 and the carbs were bad, so I was really happy with how she ran with a cleaning and just the bench syn.
Changed the oil, replaced clutch and brake fluid. Started to repair the air box, the bold mount that goes through the frame under the seat has been broken out. She is a stock bike (not for long) but for now I just need to get her put back together and make sure she is solid before the mods come. Thanks again for all the great info, links and write-ups on the forum, really nice to have with a touch of a button.
Looking to do the GSXR750 Real wheel mod and would love to put some USD forks on, but that much be too much with replacing the top plate and bars...but if anyone can talk me into it, that is cool.
So now to look for the rear tire and then maybe a set of 89 forks to mod.
