The knob came off in my hand. Apparently the screw vibrated loose and fell out.
It's what, an M3, or some such thing?

M3 is way too big... I have a few kicking around, I will mail you one. Off to the garage to find that little bag with little choke knob screws....
In the mean time, use a large paper clip as a pull tab till the screw arrives...
I may have used a dab of thread locker, I hope not, but I definitely wrapped a thin piece of black tape around the knob securing the screw.

A dab of blue Locktite is no problem. Good idea on the tape!
Found the thread size. It's M2.5.
My local Ace Hardware had that size, but they are about three times as long as the original and the head is a slot, not a Phillips.

You are quickly becoming a favored supplier. :)
Monkey, the FJCrack dealer... :blum1:
For those that don't have an Ace hardware in their local, or when FJmonkey runs out of his supply. Partzilla has the correct screw for the choke knob. It is located on the 1986 FZ750 parts list.

I recently had mine get loose and fall out during a ride. Lost the screw, knob and small cover. I had a knob and cover in my spare parts, but had to order a screw. I ordered 3 so I have a couple of spares.

Good Karma
For those that are tired of losing the screw/knob, consider using a small spring hitch pin to hold the knob on.
Makes removal simpler also
Also, we have discussed this before.
