Greetings everyone - looks like I am not the only Aussie to recently join up.
My bike is a 1984 FJ1100 which I use as a weekend rider.
It is a great bike, very lazy engine with heaps of torque and is great to ride.
It has a couple of glitches but nothing that stops it from being ridden.
Have owned it a couple of years and so far had only fuel tap issues, rear shockie reconditioned and new discs fitted.
The engine was reconditioned by the previous owner and is sound.
Just love riding it.
I live in the city Brisbane which is in the State of Queensland which is on the east coast of Australia and is nicknamed the Sunshine State.
Am a member of the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club Australia and have managed to acquire a few Hondas in the process.
Anyway,
:drinks:Cheers,
Bob
Welcome Bob, stick around and enjoy the show...
Welcome Bob :good2: Seems we have as many members in OZ as here so you are not alone. Keep an eye out for any of the rallys in the area, its a great way to meet fellow FJ riders.

G`day Bob. Welcome to our digital campfire. What is it with these 1100`s, they seem to be popping up everywhere lately in Aus?
Hoping you can catch up with a few of us locals to work on those gliches at the end of this month in Tingalpa. (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=14403.0 (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=14403.0))
...and/or then maybe come for a run around the sunshine coast Plateau at Mapleton at the end of October? (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=14442.0 (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=14442.0)) :drinks:
Welcome Bob
Another man of taste General. Long live the FJ1100.
Good to have another FJ owner in the warmer states. There are quite a few of us in the SE Queensland area. I myself, I live in Grafton. We try and get together for man shed days and rides semi regularly.
This site is a wonderful font of knowledge and I there is anything these guys don't know about the FJ, then its not worth knowing.
Mark
Welcome Bob, as has been mentioned there are quite a few of us around the Brisbane area, we're all easygoing blokes so don't be afraid to turn up at one of our get togethers. The Mapleton Muster is a must do if you like great roads and fantastic scenery, hope to catch you there.
Tony.
Put yourself on the map Bob, or check to see if any members are close by.

Thanks for the replies.
Already have come across the fuel tap issue causing fire - not a good option when riding.
Will keep en eye on that one, didn't know about that so thanks for the heads up.
