Title: FJ1100 push-type retainer clips - where to buy
Post by: SausageNips on August 31, 2015, 03:24:24 PM
Has anyone purchased replacement push-type retainer clips that are used to hold the front fairings on an FJ1100?  I have an 85, but I'm having trouble finding a part number or at least the mm size of the ones used.

Thank you!

Local bike shop had them, plus little boxes of multi spares with screws, bolts, allen-screws which also had the push type retainers.

If you are talking about the push rivets that hold the side scoops, they are still available @ $4.60 ea.

Several years ago, I found on eBay a bag of 6 for $10

I also noticed they had a similar rivet at Ace Hardware, not sure on the diameter 'thou.

try an auto parts store.. they usually have car interior trim piece racks.. IIRC I found some that fit a 1/4" hole with a screw center that locked it in place.
