Title: Monthly Potwin bike run and Hotter than Hell ride to Tulsa
Post by: aviationfred on August 09, 2015, 07:57:49 PM
Started this morning with a ride to Potwin Kansas. During the Spring, Summer and Fall this is held every 2nd Sunday of the month. An easy 100 mile round trip. Got a few sprinkles while we were there and was able to get back to Wichita without getting soaked from the spotty storms.

My friend Jason (who some of you met at the Central Rally) and I donned out hot weather gear for a Super Slab blitz to Tulsa, OK. to pick up my 2 children from their mother. The temps went from 80*f to 100*f in about 80 miles. The remaining 240 miles was sucking the Kewl vests about dry in 60 miles. The Kewl vests worked very well and made the trip tolerable. Both kids have Kewl vests and mesh jackets. The last photo is when we got home.

Fred,
You could not have represented the FJ's better!

Cool bikes.

Thanks Steve, Kansas is the home of cruisers. I try to represent the sport touring crowd single handedly.    :unknown:
The Blue, Star Raider S in the 2nd photo next to my FJ is Jason's other bike. He rode the Raider to Potwin and changed to His FJR for the trip to Tulsa.
