Title: Replacement side cover grommets. Good source.
Post by: scrapvalue on August 08, 2015, 07:04:03 PM
I am sure that this is know by you guys.  But if not, I had a couple bad ones on my tank that holds the front to nipples of the side cover.
I checked on line and found them, but sure seemed expensive for what they actually are.
Anyway, I was at Ace hardware today looking for some little thing and came across rubber grommets in the fastener section.
They don't have oval ones, but they have round ones that if you just squeeze them a bit, they become oval.
Bought 2 of them for the horrendous amount of .47 cents each.
Brought them home and they work great. I think even better then the stock ones.
Hope this helps someone else.

One source that I've bought them from:

For EU members: http://www.biketeile-service.de/ (http://www.biketeile-service.de/) (not that you from NA can't buy it, but I believe it is much cheaper for you to get it from Randy or somewhere in America).

Not that cheap, but a lot of original parts for FJ.
