I saw this on another site and it made me laugh.
Motorcycle Air Conditioning by EntroSys (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnEibndWyQU#normal)
Do we really need this????
Eric M
Hey Eric, yea kinda corny... but....but...I painfully recall a August afternoon run from Needles to Palm Desert where that a/c would have been handy. Wowzer, that was a hot ride. Never again for me. I'll spend the day sleeping in a motel, and cross the desert night.
I could imagine those extreme Paris-Dakar blokes might need one.
How much dose this gadget cost?
otherwise known as "how can we make our motorcycle more like a car, which is something we're trying to get away from to begin with"... ( :
i wonder if i can make some fine adjustments to that, to make it an onbike port-a-johnny...

A handlebar switch to use a "discharge to rear" option would be handy after passing the cagers that failed to use the last two turn outs. On Angles Crest WHY the mountain hides the on coming traffic in many places so the Kookaloo cannot always be used when justly needed. :blum1:

Chris, I take it that you put your name down for the discount? Let us know when they announce pricing. I did do a little bit of google research on "solid state cooling" after seeing this thread... Such a gay video...and some lame design choices with the unit...but if the tech is sound it could have merit...especially if you ever ride your FJ to Palm Desert to visit Pat C. I was on the FJ there with my now wife several years ago in 116 heat....we became very bitchy....
Compressor tech for cooling isn't anything new. Tactical aircraft use a turbine/compressor to create cooling air - just compress some bleed air, then expand it, and presto, air conditioning.
No - didn't sign up. I'm not big on even having to hook up the electric gloves when it gets below 30. (Love the heated grips, but they don't cut it below 30).
But by the time I get home from work in the summer, I'm a big dripping sweat ball. Still, A/C on a bike? Um....probably not. :negative:
