Title: THE TWELVE STEPS OF MOTORBIKOHOLIC ANONYMOUS
Post by: FJ1100mjk on July 23, 2015, 10:20:31 PM
Authored by my SO who understands my motorcycle addiction, but is not codependent...  :rofl2:

THE TWELVE STEPS OF MOTORBIKOHOLIC ANONYMOUS

1. We admitted we were powerless over motorcycles—that our lives had become unmanageable

2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore our bikes to factory specifications.

3. Made a decision to turn our carburetors and our floats over to the advice of Motorbike Forums as we understood Them.

4. Made a searching and fearless inventory of our riding gear, bikes, parts, extra parts, wish list parts, forum sites, clubs, rides, great curvy roads,  magazines, destinations, stock colors, man-caves, and ourselves.

5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our motorbikoholism.

6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of our paint, chrome, finishes and Multiple Bike Syndrome.

7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.

8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all, starting with letting my significant other park their car in the garage. As well as no longer referring to them as  "The #1 Human in my life".

9. Made direct amends to crash bars, paint scratches, mangled mirrors, except when to do so would make their imperfections more obvious.

10. Continued to order highly sought-after-parts and when we were wrong about the part specifications promptly admitted it.

11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood Him (Leader of the Forum or Ride), praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out while not dropping the bike.

12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these Steps, we tried to carry this message to bikoholics, via forums, clubs, rides and every day BS and to practice these principles in all our affairs. And we mean, in ALL of our affairs.
