Title: The Dark Side
Post by: Karl on May 23, 2015, 10:58:52 AM
I confess I have gone to the dark side and got the FJ a new garage mate.  Saw this guy online for a really good deal and couldn't resist.  Its a 2006 Triumph Sprint ST 1050, low mileage and came with aftermarket screen and pannier fit.

Nice! I've always wanted a Triumph fuel injected triple exactly like that, well done.

Always liked the Triumph Sprint triples.  Nice one.
I'll be interested in hearing how you like it after you've had it awhile.
Seems to me that its very close to the FJ in function (not that that is a bad thing)
Kind of like having 2 FJs in the garage that just look different to each other.

I had the 2004 955i Sprint. Loved that bike. Would buy another one in a heart beat.

Thanks for all the positive inputs. So far loving the Truimph, took a little while to get used to the riding position, you just cant beat the FJ setup and the mechanical whine is unusual but lordy this thing is quick.

That reminds me of the time a KISS roadie caught Gene Simmons getting into a hotel elevator with a very average looking chick.  Gene looked at the roadie's surprised face, and said: "Sometimes, you just feel like a burger for dinner after having filet mignon all week, ya know?"

So, regardless of how nice our main ride might be, it's nice to have some variety.
