Did you tell her it runs? Kind of a dick move if not...

edit: just read the last sentence, my bad. They made the deal, as - is works both ways.

I'd disagree on that assessment - if someone can't be bothered to even see if it runs before posting it up for sale, then they are only interested in off loading it.

-- Oh - and nice find!  That's one of those bikes I'd like to try if one ever came up at the right price - like that one!

In the ad it said won't start and owner was there when I asked what's wrong....I then checked a few things and it fired up....we actually  drove it home...illegally mind you but it was a 10 minutes  back roads I still thing the find was good

I was concerned that the owner was a female who knew nothing about it, and that simply shifting into neutral made it a more valuable bike to her, which in my view would have been deceptive by the buyer if he hid that information. The fact that they saw it start up and still stuck to the deal was honorable, but I might have split the difference with her and offer a little more, just to appease the Karma Gods.

Great deal though!

Silly question, but it's a Honda Sumthinerother?  :scratch_one-s_head:

Not up on my Honda's especially from that angle.  CBR CB VF VFR ?

Regardless, do you shit horseshoes too?  :mocking:  I'm trying hard not to be envious....  Probably the first vehicle you have ever owned where it will be more expensive to insure than what you bough it for?

I'd be trolling Kijiji or Craigslist too, 'cept I have no place to keep an extra bike, or two, or three....

No grief, just thought it would be a shitty thing to do if the seller was unaware of the easy fix. She was aware, so there's no harm, no foul. "As-is" works both ways, and I think it worked out great for Sabre.

Good deal Rich. Even better that you paid it forward to another rider in need. You seem to find the deals out there somehow.
