Title: Brake Lines on eBay - Any Experience With These?

Anyone tried these brake lines?  Best price for lines I've ever seen.  Their feedback looks good - just a little of the typical eBay queef from what I can tell.  Looks like I'll be making some measurements this weekend...

Looks like they may be selling them each, too, so expect to need two.  Past that, that's a damned good price, probably could get custom length if you wanted for a set of cut forks....

I would try a clutch and/or rear brake lines first just to test the quality.  Then, upon passing inspection, buy the front brake lines.  That is too much to risk on too good of a deal.  I would buy these if my FJ didn't have a full compliment of SS lines already.

$12.00 to ship a brake line that weighs less than a pound.

Paying over 50% the cost of the item in shipping charges doesn't sit too well with me.

Beats paying $90 for a set of galfer lines though, which cost something like $20 to make.

Chris I just posted the same thing, I missed your original post. Did you get the lines? If so how are they?

FINALLY ordered the full set of lines (2 front brake lines, clutch, and rear brake) for the dragbike from these guys.  All four lines, including shipping for $90!  $18.66 per line and $14 total shipping - definately pays to make a larger order from them vice getting just one line.

They are made by APEX in Canada - have only seen positive write ups in various forums - they make brake lines for almost anything with wheels as well as custom lengths.

Will let you know how the quality is when they arrive.

James,

Here's the eBay store: http://stores.ebay.com/Rennsport-Auto-Parts (http://stores.ebay.com/Rennsport-Auto-Parts)

They keep a revolving set of lines posted, but will custom make them when you order.  Here's the set with the longest time remaining that specifies FJ1200: http://cgi.ebay.com/YAMAHA-FJ1200-CUSTOM-STAINLESS-STEEL-BRAKE-LINE-HOSE-/110481369716?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19b933ea74 (http://cgi.ebay.com/YAMAHA-FJ1200-CUSTOM-STAINLESS-STEEL-BRAKE-LINE-HOSE-/110481369716?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19b933ea74)

It says in the writeup to email if you are ordering more than one line - I sent a question through "ask seller a question" and got a very prompt reply.  A couple of emails back and forth on the details, and then an invoice through PayPal.  Easy.

Which hose ends did you wind up using?
