A friend down the road offered me a ride on his new ducati.
I was a bit hesitant at 1st and said what if i crash, he just said its fully insured but i was thinking more along the lines of what about me.
Anyway i found out after the TEST ride that it was in sports mode, apparently it has 3 different modes. Anyway out on the gateway road
warming it up it felt good, very comfy with the upright bars. The big wide tank seemed to disappear when moving.
After 15 minutes i went to some lesser traffic spots and had a play. Holy F***ing hell. What a beast.
The big grin said it all.

You lucky thing Kenny! Don't they sound absolutely glorious too.! Don't think I would ride one to Grafton, but for hooning around, holy heck.
So...Will there be one on show soon at "Ken's Museum of Classics".
No there won't be one. I Think they cost more than my entire collection is worth. Your right Ray,this thing sounds awesome. He changed the original mufflers to a single one and is loud once you get on it.
Last year I had the glorious experience of getting to test-ride 4 brand-new Ducatis.
Spent about an hour on each one, riding through the canyons here in Colorado.
My favorite one of the bunch was the Diavel Carbon. It is a muscle-cruiser in every sense of the name!
Instant torque and throttle response in any gear, at any speed. It cornered surprisingly well in sport mode, considering it's size (nothing like the Panigale 899, but that was a completely different animal) :dance2:

Thanks for putting up the photo's firehawk, ive a few pics of it on my telephone but dont know how to put them on here.
The one i rode was a red and black one and had lots of carbon on it. I'd love to have a go on the latest R1. 200 bloody horse power
They look good from behind.....

Now that's a rear tyre :good2:
Awesome bike!
However, I wonder how much one of those rear tires will set you back. If I recall correctly, I think that particlar tire was co-developed for that bike's application.
Given the bike's horsepower and torque, I would think that the owner would be going through the rear tire on a regular basis. Just too tempting not to wack the throttle open on that beast!
