Title: Another one from Gods country
Post by: oldktmdude on January 08, 2010, 05:44:21 AM
G'day everyone. Been lurking in the shadows for a while now so I thought it was about time I said g'day. Another bloody Aussie and proud of it. Firstly I'd like to say what a great site this is, full of very enthusiastic and cleaver members. Iv'e recently bought a 1985 FJ1100 which needs alot of TLC but it's slowly taking shape. Iv'e only ridden it once since buying it but already love the feel of it. It's totally stripped at the moment, awaiting a full rebuild. Painted the frame today looks better already. My last project was a 1981 Honda CB900f bol dor and as much as I hate to admit it, it's not a bad ride.(not a honda fan but bought 2 burnt bikes cheap)   Thanks for the chance to become a member of a group sharing the same interest.

Thanks for the welcome fella's. I'll probably need a few hints and help getting this ol fj back on the road. Havn't had  much involvement when it cones to Yamaha's but am really looking forward to the experience. Haven't had a road bike since about 1987 so I'm having a ball playing with these bikes from my era. I had a riding mate back in the old days that had a fj1100 and I've always liked the style of them. Always thought that they were one of the best bikes Yamaha has produced.  Colin, I'm located at Bermagui, on the south coast of NSW. Regards, Peter.

Thanks ren-dog, don't go knocking those orange bikes, they're alright. Haven't got one anymore, traded it for a GasGas ec300. Great bike! How's things in sunny Qld. Hope to get up there again, one day soon.  Regards, Peter.
