Well after months of a bad winter in Northern Illinois it appears life is returning. Both yesterday and today I saw a guy on a motorcycle even though it was about 38 degrees. This week we are supposed to get a balmy 55F after a long time of freezing weather and snow.
I am planning on taking a day off and going riding. Cabin fever is almost a thing of the past. :yahoo:
I'm sorry but Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this year same as last and you guys are in for six more weeks of winter! :blum1: Dave

Its time to shoot that critter
We had plus 3 Celsius today. This winter in the Niagara Region ( Canada), we had not one day above freezing for the entire month of February. I too am optimistic that spring is around the corner.
Today it was bout 77 my buddy came by work on his ninja 636 to remind me my FJ is still in the shop. I'm currently questioning our friendship.

Not only no days above freezing, they said this was the coldest Feb. in the history of Feb.'s (well in the last 150 yrs since they began recording temps).
The monthly avg. temp was -12 degC (10 F), when it shoiuld be around -5 C (23 F).
The great lakes are on avg. are 85% frozen over, and you can walk across some of them... theoretically.... like this idiot :wacko2:

Cabin fever doesn't even describe it..... even my dogs are starting to look tasty. (popcorn)

Had my first BBQ yesterday !!! :yahoo: it was only +3 celsius but like Paul said.....that's a heat wave here in Toronto !!! I work outside for a living as some of you may know and this year, I decided at New Year's to make like a bear and STAY INDOORS. I told the company I freelance from that I would not be making any igloos this winter.......I got the expected "whimp" look.......but when I spoke to him recently about getting back to work, he called me a "Genius "..... :mail1: ..... :sarcastic:..+9 this weekend.....I think Wiarton Willie may have something on Punxsutawney Phil .... :mocking: .......happy trails my fellow Kodiaks

It was 65 here yesterday! Still pretty sloppy on my road, did manage a brief ride in the wood on the Suzuki, hand is still sore so I cant get too agressive. Had a bonfire last night and a dear friend and former Guitar student of mine stopped by and we fed the fire, ate pizza, drank several Stellas and played acoustic gtrs. till the early a.m. it felt like spring. A bit cooler today( 50s ) and quite windy...I'm thinkin tomorrow 'Ole Sexy (myFJ) and me just might hit the twisties. Right around the corner boys! :good2: Charley.

Is that an SP I had a Super Pile 500 for a while.
Hope you guys are right but don't get your hopes too high. Growing up in NE Iowa we had a saying about winter in March. "In like a lamb and out like a lion." Dave

[/quote] Yeah Dan, One year only model SP600f. They sold them in other markets as a DR600 till '89 I've had this one since 1990 and is the forerunner to the DR650 with 4valves and two plugs. Really been a great bike for over 30,000 trouble free miles. Really wish it had E-start sometimes... like if you stall in the woods when hot...time to take a break. And yes I've called her worse things than Super Pile L.O.L!!!
