Title: Latest aquisition..
Post by: mr blackstock on December 13, 2014, 12:55:54 AM
Picked this up the other month, at the time seemed to be a fixer up'er, but the more I see it, it seems to be coming into it's own!  I worry that it may be more expensive to keep running than a harshly riden FJ11!  Already he needs a fair bit of maintenance...
I had to wait on paying my bike rego for two months to pay for his own furniture suite...

Everyone ride safe this month, lots of distracted drivers out there.

Cheers, Gareth

Congratulations. Very handsome little guy. Spend all the time you can with him as they tend to grow up way to fast.   :good2:  Dave

Congratulations Gareth (and Mrs Gareth),

Nicely done. :-)
You'll have to keep us informed of the mods as you make them.
Do realize that this model seems to gain weight on a fairly regular basis, and (to date) there are no lightweight carbon fiber or titanium replacements available.

Enjoy

Arnie

Good on ya Gareth, by the looks of things it seems well cared for and happy. A very good beginning, thanks for sharing the good news.

That model has some trouble with its induction and exhaust. Confined spaces with the revs up will hurt your ears, plus their hard to keep shiny and are well known for soiling up the rest of their bodywork. Also once they get a few years on them they are extremely hard on the wallet to maintain.

                                                         Congratulations

Cheers guys,

I am discovering lots, wish there was a haynes manual with pictures and the like though!  Coming up three months.  Veronica has already told me not to try and attach the car seat to the bike pillion, apparently 6ft worth of zip ties is still not safe enough!?

Way too adorable! Enjoy them while they're young as they grow up so fast.
