Post by: FJ1100mjk on December 12, 2014, 04:48:43 AM
House passes $1.1 trillion (yes, trillion) spending bill...

Yippee! No government shutdown possible. At least for the near-term.  :good2:

Note ^ sarcastic comment.

Hey guys is that a single note or do they need to print a few to make a trillion.  Its amazing how finance can cause new numbers to be created like that!  I hope you get a slice of the pie, less tax maybe now that all that money is around :) :good2:

That is not even for a full 12 months. The 1.1 trillion dollars only finances the government until September 30.

Keep in mind that this is just the cost of the Federal Government.

Add in the budgets of all the state governments....then,

Add in the budgets of all the county governments...then,

Add in the budgets of all the city governments...then,

Add in the budgets of all the school districts and other special districts.

Only then, will you get a true picture of the cost of government in the USA.

Of course most everyone knows that the government is running out of control. It has to come to a halt.
Another thing that ticks me off is having to pay such high property taxes. I have no children in the public school system & yet I pay close to $2K every year to support public education. Then the rest of the taxes kick in. If you all are under the impression that I must have a large or real nice home.... Nope. Just an average 3 bedroom home.

Grrr....  :dash1:

In Australia you would also have to include the cost to keep all the politicians (including the opposition, State & Federal) from the past that are still alive, as they are given incredible money for the rest of their lives Plus staff, plus office rental, generous travel budgets (also for the rest of their lives in many cases) and many other perks.....it goes on and on. (even if they were in office a couple of months in some cases.....have no idea why both sides have voted in such budget arrangements.)

Our Countries are great mates, so we seem to do what you do. ...errr, and whatever you ask us to do, hence the reason we`re gunna start supplying india with Uranium in contradiction of the reasons (duly documented) why we won`t supply such countries. Thanks to that bully Julian, we know you`re president asked his bestie (our chief), in the attempt to make india`s Chief your future bestie!
(Note: a "bestie" here is the word children use to describe their best or bestest friend...not sure if our kids are copying your kids? Do you have tuckshops at your schools?...The yellow cake there is to die for....yum!)

ummmm....this could turn into an oil thread with busts....back to topic .....Merry Christmas ratpayers & have a Wiki new year!  :drinks:
