OK fellas , I am really missing not been able to ride so let me amuse you with a question. To all that own more than one FJ, what makes you decide to ride one bike on one day and a different one on another day.
I've got my 86 fj1350r muscle bike that I ride for short rides. My 89 is my touring 2 up. Bike and the new 86 is going to be my turbo drag toy really rip my arms off rides.
Ok impress me. What pics do you have of your 86 fj1350r muscle bike

I (currently) have (running) a `70 VW Camper, a `75 MG Midget, a `90 FJ and a `92 ABS FJ.
Each gets ridden or driven through the week, depending on work needs, requests for help moving things, etc.
It's tough sometimes to choose between the bikes. I'm favoring the `90 more and more due to the better brakes (blue dots). I like the paint schemes on both bikes.
Mostly I choose based on fuel freshness. Trying to rotate the stock and not let fuel sit in the carbs for too long.
Lots of factors, really. Sometimes, it's just a crap shoot.

I have had an (85) FZ 750 and a (90) FJ 1200 on the road at the same time. I initially rode the FZ 750 mostly for the short quick rides through the twisties. Over time I found myself only riding the FJ. It has blue dots, emulators, Penske shock, FZ1 swingarm, RPM fork brace, FZR front wheel and most importantly modern rubber. I eventually cancelled the insurance on the FZ 750 and have it stored. The modified FJ is just that good.
I did recently purchase a very nice GTS 1000 and hope to ride it next spring to see if I like it. There are others in the stable but are never ridden.
I also am interested in others responses as I thought having two bikes on the road would be cool but ..... I do also plan this year to ride my 1991 FZR 1000. It has 3,000 k on it and is as close to perfect as one can get. The insurance here is the same for the FJ or the FZR. So if the GTS is nice I may ride it and the FZR this year.
Of course 20 minutes from now I will change my mind.
Wow Giantkiller that is one nice bike. Awesome!!
Thanks my 89 is nice for a touring bike. Of course neither one is done. And now I have the new, very rough 86 I'm going to put the turbo kit on.

Dan does ride the 1350r on occasion some distance. And he can flog it down the road. Here are a few photos of the beast in Arkansas this past summer at the Central FJ Rally.

For about 9 months I had two FJ's at the same time. A Satin Black 87' and a White and Silver 89'. On a daily basis the decision on which one to ride did not matter. On a whim, I would pick one or the other.
I had the 87' for 9 months and sold it. Nothing really wrong with the bike, it just wasn't what I wanted for a second FJ. I really am holding off for a 91' Pink Stripe.

Yes 850 miles to get there. Both the fj1350r and myself absolutely love push mountain :yahoo:
I have a 90 FJ and a chinese 250cc scooter, and most work days, I'm not sure which gets ridden until I leave the house. On the weekends, if its a long ride, it's usually the FJ. Just around to the store, or under 20 miles, it's the scooter. On rainy days, it's almost always the scooter. (bigger fairing). Riding=Good.

Both nice looking bikes. The gold decals jump out on the satin one.
